Court Reporting Associations

Virginia Court Reporters Association - Virginia Court Reporters Association (VCRA) has been assisting court reporters in enhancing their skills for over 35 years. Founded in 1967, the association stands as a leader in education and legislative representation serving members from throughout the state.

Washington Court Reporters Association - The mission of the Washington Court Reporters Association is to promote the profession of court reporting. It is the objective of this professional association to maintain a membership base composed of court reporters, Communication Access Realtime Translators (CART), and captioners whose values are consistent with the ethical standards promulgated by the NCRA Code of Professional Ethics. WCRA represents its members in the state legislature on issues impacting court reporting, CART, and captioning.

West Virginia Court Reporters Association - The West Virginia Court Reporters Association strives to educate the public regarding the competency, importance, and value of the court reporter.

Wisconsin Court Reporters Association - The Wisconsin Court Reporters Association provides social and educational opportunities, along with advocacy and public relations services to the court reporting community in Wisconsin.

Canada - British Columbia Shorthand Reporters Association - BCSRA is a non-profit, member-funded, professional association serving British Columbia's court/realtime reporters, CART providers, and broadcast captioners. Its bylaws reflect support for and participation in CASST, the larger Canadian national association.

Canada - Alberta Shorthand Reporters Association - The Alberta Shorthand Reporters Association (ASRA) is a professional association of verbatim shorthand reporters founded in 1958 primarily composed of verbatim shorthand reporters in the Province of Alberta. However, we also have members in various other Canadian provinces, the Northwest Territories, and several states of the United States of America.

National - National Court Reporters Association - NCRA is internationally recognized as the premier educational and informational resource for its members and the public. Through its actively involved membership, the association impacts legislative issues and the global marketplace. NCRA's certification programs provide members opportunities for success and recognition.

National - United States Court Reporters Association - The United States Court Reporters Association is the national representative for the federal court reporting profession. The Association is committed to promoting and maintaining the highest standards of verbatim reporting, quality services, professional ethics, fidelity to the ideals of the judicial system, and advocating continuing education as well as the utilization of state-of-the-art technologies.
